- Kinokopla
- Kinokopla is a film club, open to everyone, maintained by the Student Union of the University of Turku. This club has been running since 1965. Kinokopla presents two main series a year which show a diversified selection of films form different countries.
ML Media Liv, one of the finest and oldest movie theatres in Finland, has been established as the viewing site for Kinokopla. In addition to film series, the club organises all kinds of movie-themed events and publishes the film magazine/newspaper Zoom. A board appointed by th Student Union Council manages its activities.
The movies are shown in the movie theatre ML Media Liv (located at Humalistonkatu 7) on Sundays at 6 pm. Season card is 16€ for students (includes all 7 movies), for others 21€. Single tickets for a movie can be bought for 3€ per movie. To buy single tickets you need to purchase a membership card (5€). Tickets and cards are sold in the lobby of the cinema before the films.
